After a very long, boring and uncertain time during my time on furlough, I decided to cheer up the neighbours on my street by baking them some cakes. Seeing the smiles on their faces made me remember why I loved baking so much in the first place. I had mainly baked in the past for friends and family but simply never had the time to invest in the tools needed to turn my hobby into a business.
However, seeing how happy cakes made my neighbours during a very tough time made me realise that I needed to take the steps to turn my passion into something more. Just like that, Angela’s Cakery was born! I have only been trading for about 8 weeks and have received so many orders- from wedding cakes to tray-bakes, for those who simply want to satisfy their sweet tooth! I love being the one to make your occasion cakes and make sure that I only use the finest ingredients and no expense is spared when it comes to attention to detail. I pride myself in being a baker with one of the fastest turnaround times in Leicester, whilst making sure quality is not compromised. I look forward to making your next occasion cake!
Alongside my baking journey, I also work at a law firm full time, currently in criminal defence. Two completely different worlds, but both I am equally passionate about. Baking for me is a way to relax and unwind, whilst also being incredibly rewarding as I am the one that is able to make the cakes that makes you smile on your special occasions. No event is complete without cake; blowing the candles, cutting a slice for you and your loved ones, it’s definitely a way to bring people together and this is what I love most about what I do. Although I am at the beginning of my baking journey, I cannot wait to see what the future of Angela’s Cakery holds!
